26 Weeks 5 Days

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 26 week checkup. Saije is growing like a weed! She is still on the small end, but within healthy range so the doctor isn't concerned at all. Her heart rate was a healthy 148 bpm and you could hear her moving around when we were listening to it. Last time she kicked the heart rate monitor twice! It was so funny. Since my last appointment 4 weeks ago I've gained 4 lbs so I am finally up to 150 lbs. That is what my doctor wants me to STAY at even after baby is born. I've always been on the underweight end for my height so we'll see how that goes once baby comes. I just want to be healthy. I don't care what the scale says. Just healthy. While I was there, we did the diabetes and anemia tests. If everything looks good I won't hear anything about it. They said they will contact me ASAP if I have gestational diabetes, which I doubt I do. I am so thankful for present day medical technology and knowledge. I am in good hands and so is my baby girl.

Lastly, Saije has been moving around SO MUCH IT'S RIDICULOUS! I love feeling her kick and squirm and have the hiccups I think at times. What a miracle. I don't think my head has fully wrapped around the idea that she's mine. She is a piece of me. A part of me. She will be my baby girl FOREVER! I can barely wait thru the next 3 months! Joe was feeling my tummy last weekend and he was FINALLY able to feel her kick too! In the past, he'd feel for it and feel for it and feel for it...and nothing...I don't think she was quite big enough for anyone but me to feel it at that time though. I'm just glad he was able to now. It was quite the special moment for him, which melted my heart.

Which bedding?

I can't decide on which crib bedding to purchase. I really like this top one because it's made of that soft sleece-like material AND it comes with a crib skirt. The bottom one is super cute too, and cheaper, but it doesn't have a crib skirt and it is 100%. I think I'm liking the top one. If by the time I go to order it, it's gone, I will resort to the bottom one. With my luck that will be exactly what happens. At least option #2 is still cute!

Killer deal on KSL!

I found this ALMOST brand new baby swing for $50 on KSL! I love the baby blue and brown together since that's kind of the color scheme I'm looking for. For pink being my favorite color, it's surprising I don't want to over-do the pink with Saije. I think little girls look much cuter in baby blues, greens, and yellows with brown. A little bit of pink of course ;) This swing is awesome because it has an automatic timer and it plays soft music to put baby to sleep. Came from a good clean home too. What a deal!
