4 weeks old already!

I know I know...I say my daughter is cute all the time...BUT LOOK AT HER! She is soooo pretty! She has the cutest little features that are just perfect in every way! I have to admit I did a good job with this one ;) She can pull the funniest faces and make the funniest noises! She literally sqeaks like a mouse, especially when she sleeps. I LOVE IT! It's crazy to think that it's already been FOUR weeks since I became her Mommy and brought her into this world. Time goes by way too fast, as I was forwarned, so I try to take time each and every day to just stare at her and take it all in. Before I know it, she'll be asking to borrow my credit card or getting ready for Prom! Lol!
On our way back from Utah yesterday after going down to attend my cousin's bridal shower, I looked in the backseat to check on Saije and this is what I saw! I instantly started laughing and told my mom I would take a picture so she could see since she was driving. We just sat there and laughed! Poor thing...I told her that until she's old enough to get herself dressed and ready, I'm gonna continue putting those damn flowers in her hair if she likes it or not! Ha Ha!

25th Great Grandchild!

Being one day shy of 4 wks old, Saije finally got to meet her Great Grandpa Lyons! She is his 25th Great-Grandchild with #26 born two weeks after her and two more babies on the way! Our family is growing growing growing! My Grandpa is 88 1/2 years old. What a blessing it is that he is still around to meet all of these new great grand babies :) I was born long after all of my great grandparents were gone so I never got to meet them or have them hold me.
The look in my Grandpa's eyes is priceless. Such joy and genuine happiness. It's crazy to think that because of him and my Grandma, their five children gave them 27 Grandchildren and at least 28 Great Grandchildren! That's ALOT of people. That saying "All Because Two People Fell In Love" really has a special meaning to me. I love my Grandpa more than the world! He is such a great man and I have always admired the kind of man he is. He loves each and every one of us and we can all feel it! LOVE YOU GRAMPS! I am so happy my beautiful daughter got to meet such an incredible human being and be held with those loving arms of yours!
The look in his face really gets me...Saije is staring him straight in the eyes like she knows exactly who he is! PRECIOUS!

She's my Girl!

Saije at 3 weeks and 1 day old! Look at how her little cheekies are filling out and getting chunky! I LOVE them! Scary how much she looks like Joe...I can't get over it...When can she just start looking like me already?! Uggghhh!
Disclaimer: I am not completely sleep deprived. I just don't have any makeup on in this picture! Ha Ha!

Time Flies!

Saije is 3 weeks old today! It is absolutely CRAZY how time flies! She is growing like a weed each and every day I can't even believe it! It's like I wake up every morning and she's a different baby! For those of you who have never seen her biological dad, Joe, she looks just like him. In fact, she is a spitting image of Joe's second daughter Ciauna. At least I and a few others think so. Every day I look at her, it becomes more and more apparent who she looks like! NOT ME! Ha Ha! Too bad she'll never meet Joe or have him in her life, but ya know...it was his choice and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure she doesn't suffer because of it! It just sucks that I see him in her every time I look at her. I told myself the other day that I'm going to use that reminder as not one of him, but more or less as one that I am a strong woman and we can do it without him! She has Brogan as her Daddy anyway! You know that saying "anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad"? Well that is 100% true! He isn't a Dad at all by any stretch of the imagination or he would look at her as more than just another financial burden or another mouth to feed. She is precious and he is definitely missing out! Here are some pictures of her I've taken in the past 2 weeks...

9 days old
Big stretches!
Mommy's Pretty Princess!
If looks could kill...
Saije has got some W-I-L-D hair and some B-I-G eyeballs!
Just chillin' in Mommy's arms
She is DEFINITELY loved!
Oh how I love this little lady! She's my girl!

I'm baaaaaack!

I got extremely lucky and bounced right back to my pre-baby body within a couple days of delivery. I never got real big anyway so I didn't have much to lose. I only gained 20 lbs my entire pregnancy, and I already weigh less now than I did before I got pregnant. Now for toning it all up! Ha Ha!

Terrorizer!

If I had to describe Channing in one word, it would have to be "terrorizer"! Seriously...this kid can get into more stuff faster than any kid I've ever met! He goes from one place of destruction to the next so fast that we can't hardly keep up with him! His favorite thing to do right now is hide his giant legos in the two drawers of the coffee table. And it's not just his toys. I couldn't find the baby monitor the other day and sure enough, there it was right where I should have known it would be: in the coffee table drawer!

My Three FAVORITE People!!

Brogan, Channing, and Saije are the three most important people in my life! I love all three of them to pieces and my life wouldn't be the same without them in it! I am so grateful for the way my life has turned out regardless of the trials, ups and downs, heartache, etc because it has made me the woman I am today. Brogan has been my rock and my support, always standing behind me 100% and getting me thru all the heartache associated with Joe stepping out on Saije. He has stepped up to the plate and filled some pretty big shoes, but he's done it so willingly and because he has such a huge heart. He loves us, and we sure love him!
You better believe we are some pretty big Boise State fans!!! Channing has some kind of Boise State shirt on about 80% of the time...ha ha
Once again...there's nothing greater!

Daddy

One of Brogan's favorite things to do when we go over to his grandparent's house is sit in the recliner and love on Saije! It's funny because sometimes Channing gets jealous and tries to climb up there with him to snuggle and HE HATES TO SNUGGLE! Lol! Brogan loves Saije and the way he is with her just melts my heart. He calls her "Sissy" and it's absolutely adorable :)

Saije meets Graham!

My really good friend Hallie stopped by to visit and brought her little guy Graham along to meet Saije! Graham was born on June 21st and Saije was born on August 21st so they are exactly two months a part. Look at the difference in size! Graham is literally double Saije's size :)

Mommy & Me

I love this little girl sooooooooooooooo much it's ridiuclous! For two weeks at a time when Brogan and Channing aren't here it's just the two of us and we're best friends! I have so much fun with her! Between dressing her up, playing with her wild hair, smothering her with kisses, or cuddling her...I don't know which one is the most fun!
I love it when Saije does this with her hands and arms! It's just a reflex, but still...it's hilarious! She does it everytime she gets startled or I get her near the bathtub! Ha Ha!

Brogan & Channing

I could watch Brogan play with Channing all day! Especially at Grandma and Grandpa Gransbury's house! It is hilarious! Channing hangs on him like a little monkey or when they play on the floor, and it's rough, he laughs non-stop. Brogan is such a good Dad!
