Engagement Pics Sneekpeek!

Brogan and I took our engagement pictures last time he was home and all I have to say is WE LOVE THEM! Carli Jo Hobson is one of the finest photographers I know. She is so young, yet so talented. Here are 16 of like 300 we took that night. We have to save some for our invitations! We took these up in Albion and the spot Carli found was amazing! Absolutely gorgeous. We had a blast and love the outcome!

This may be a good time to announce on the Blog that we changed our wedding date from August 11th to August 31st to accomodate more family and friends. It is a Friday night versus a Saturday night, but same time and place. Stay tuned for your announcement!

Just the Two of Us!

So last night, 6/1, Saije and I went to one of my really good friend's wedding. I have known Chantel since I was a Junior in high school and I started dating her little brother "Spud". I dated him for a year so in that time I got really close to his whole family, especially "Scruff". They all have nicknames ;-) When I was pregnant with Saije I met up with his family in Ogden at his little sister's dance recital at Weber State and that was the last time I saw them. Before I met Brogan, I hung out with Spud a few different times just like we did in the good ol' days, but then haven't talked to or seen him since I met Brogan. It was so nice to see him and everyone else in their family! They are such good people and they make me happy! Check out Saije's two teeth on the bottom showing in this pic! They are actually bigger than they look.
The whole night, Saije kept getting compliments on how cute she looked in her little dress, her curly hair, her long eyelashes, her big eyes, her cheesy grin, how happy she is, etc. One lady even came over to me right after the ceremony and was like "Can I please hold her?! She is the cutest little doll I have ever seen!" Ha Ha. She was happy the whole night, but then 8:30 hit and bedtime was due. She doesn't look too thrilled in this picture, I know...lol
Oh my goodness! Today we were over at Grandma and Grandpa Gransbury's house doing laundry and Saije was full of cheesy grins and giggles! She loves playing with both their shitzu's Benjie and Chubby and making us all laugh. She definitely likes to be in the spotlight!
Every time I put my phone up to take a picture with Saije, she knows EXACTLY what to do. She is so photogenic it's ridiculous!
Something about little baby butts puts a smile on my face :-)
Saije has discovered her new favorite toy! The seat bounces up and down because it sits on a bouncy ball and she has figured it out. She stands up and holds on to the handlebars to keep her balance and then bounces up and down until her legs are too tired to do it anymore. Man she is growing up quick!!!

Memorial Day Boating!

On Memorial Day, Saije and I went out to "Grandma Darla's" house and went boating for a little bit with Darla, Amanda, one of my best friend Megan and her son Xander, and Broc. I wasn't sure how Saije would react but she loved it! She loved the wind in her face and the sound of the engine! Might I add she looked ADORABLE in this little life jacket! EEEEEK! I can't even stand how cute she looks!
My kid isn't afraid of ANYTHING! It makes me happy, but I have to admit just a little nervous for the future! lol
After boating, I put Saije down for her nap and Megan and I laid out on the patio FOREVER gettin' our tans on! I love this girl. She always has my back and we have so much fun together!

Jackpot 5.20-21.12

We needed a night away! As much as we LOVE our kids, it's important to have time away from the kids and enjoy quality time with each other when Brogan is home. We've never left both kids with a sitter for 24 hours straight and overnight, but it was worth it! Thanks Alissa!!! We took this pic in the car headed to Jackpot!
Because Brogan is a club member at Cactus Pete's Casino, we got a free room and some $ in food vouchers. We got to the casino around 6 PM and gambled until 2 AM! The plan was to each get $40 and when our $40 was gone, you're done. That didn't work out so well, but we didn't lose any money by the time it was all said and done! Ha Ha
Our favorite slot machine is this one called "Survivor". There is nothing to it, but it is so loud and so addicting you can't walk away! Brogan was on a winning streak when I took this picture. He's so hott!
With his $60 (yes it was only supposed to be $40) Brogan got clear down to $7 and he worked his way back up to $230.74! Yes...I know...he should have taken the money and walked away, but he didn't. To make a long story short, at the end of the night, he cashed out at $197.50. That included some Blackjack too so he was still on top $137.50!
Then my gambling comes into effect....oh boy...I have the worst luck EVER! It was sure fun and I got "up" a few different times, but I could never just walk away. My $40 turned into $60 and then Brogan kept telling me to put more money in. The $60 turned into $65, then $70, then Brogan gave me his last $20 to make it $90! I walked away without a freakin dime! Ha Ha! It was sure fun though! Definitely worth the 8 hours of gambling and free drinks! :-) By the time we paid $30 for dinner, spent $20 in gas to get there, and combined my loss with Brogan's gain, we broke even and the whole trip and night away was free. It was so much fun!
My brother Parker is the HR guy at Cactus Pete's so he met up with us before we left the next morning and treated us to a delicious breakfast at the cafe. Thanks Parker!

Frisbee Golfin'! 5.19.12

So kind of like darts, Brogan is pro frisbee golfer! He's played in leagues and used to play pretty competitively. Also, like shooting guns, he's been wanting to take me frisbee golfing forever now but the weather or time kept us from going. It's alot harder than it looks, but it is sure fun! It takes alot of patience too! We just went out to the dam where they have a 9 hole course that's pretty nice.
One good thing about frisbee golf is you can bring kids if you really want to and they can walk the course. It was Brogan and I, his little sister Kayla, and both Channing and Saije who came and it worked out perfect! Saije just came along in her stroller and hardly fussed except the very last two holes because she really wanted out of the dang stroller. And I think she was ready for a nap after a long afternoon in the sun.
Brogan ownsALOT of frisbees and they all have differnt uses. Some are long range frisbees, others mid range, and then of course putters. They aren't like normal frisbees and you don't throw them like normal frisbees either! Sooo fun!
Channing did pretty good on the course except he kept wondering off and wanting to play with everything he shouldn't be. Of course. It was still fun to have him there with us though!
Brogan's little sister Kayla ended up beating me by one stinkin' stroke over 9 holes. Still...that's prettygood considering she has been several times before and this was my first time ever! :-)

Shootin' Guns! 5.19.12

Brogan and I have been wanting to go shoot guns every time he's home, but the days we had time to go it ended up being too windy. This last time we were finally able to make it! He has a few different guns, but he mainly shot his 9 mm and I got to shoot my Ruger .380 pistol he got me for my birthday! We look pretty legit huh? ;-)
I don't know which gun I'm shooting in this picture, but it's either a .45 or 9 mm.
Same in this picture...I don't think I have a picture of me shooting my .380! Dangit!
There it is! Brogan is shooting my .380 in this picture! It looks so tiny in his hands!
Here's my baby! It is so tiny but don't be fooled...SHE CAN KICK! All I have to say is if I really had to use this gun in self defense, it would not only burst my eardrum, but I'd probably do some serious damage to the person on the other end! Brogan and I plan on taking the concealed weapon class together this summer so if I ever feel like I need to carry, hopefully never, I can carry it in my purse. That was the whole purpose of Brogan getting it for me anyway. He just doesn't like the idea of me being home with Saije alone all the time.
Do I scare you? ;-)

Fun in the Sun! 5.16.12

Oh my goodness! Last time Brogan was home the weather was so nice ALL WEEK LONG! After picking up Channing from his Mom on Wednesday we called Grandma and had her fill up the pool so it was ready for the kids when we got there. Brogan bought this little kiddie pool last summer for Channing and he only used it once. I remember putting my feet in while he played and I was 8 months pregnant! Ha Ha
Channing played with these little balls, the kind you find in the play area at McDonalds, and wouldn't do anything else!
Saije may have well been born a fish because she LOVES water! She has no fear of it whatsoever. She'll dunk her head under, crawl in it, splash in it, lay in it, WHATEVER.
When Channing splashed, Saije did too. They play so well together.
Saije gets a little TOO brave sometimes so I had to sit close a few times because she was scaring me. She finally ended up scaring herself half to death when she slipped and her head ended up completely under water unexpectedly. Lol!
This picture looks like she's scared of the water but let me assure you. She is NOT!
 Like brother like sister!
What a handsome little man. Just like his Daddy!
Now there is that mischevious little face of hers! She always scrunches her nose when she's about to do something naughty! Lol
